Well, first I want to say I have used multiple splitter set ups on the S2000 throughout the years. From ARP to custom plywood ones. This is my second go around with a carbon fiber one and coming in, I was just hoping it worked out a lot better than my APR one. My Apr one died my first time going off track and that's just not good in terms of sturdiness. Then my plywood splitters began to bow in the middle or on the edges over a few months.
Here is an example of a common spot where my splitters would break.
First photo of the side diffusers and splitter installed, and oh my is it much nicer then my plywood splitter!
Not just the splitter itself but you can tell they took their time on the brackets.
First time with everyone on in public and my did it look good!
Finally, testing it out on track at Gridlife! Guess what? It did not disappoint. I went off hard in turn 1 pretty much where you see the dirt kicked it to where you see the car is now, and usually my wooden splitter would have cracked or exploded. The wasp splitter did not! It also creates a nice amount of downforce in comparison to my plywood one, it blows my APR splitter out of the water!
Can survive a beating
Blows any S2K splitter on the market out of the water when it comes to function
Price (but going down rapidly!)
Made to order so you might have to wait a week or 2
Might not sustain me standing on it like my plywood one would
To put it all together, this splitter is race proven by many hardcore track guys; Justin Taylor from RSG, Tony is dominating in Redline Time Attack in his, and Wynn in NASA south east! We all know what it takes to be on the podium and if you feel you need a splitter (which you most likely do) WASP is for sure recommended!
